Supplementary units;

International conference could not decide about two geometrical quantities whether they are base or derived following are the supplementary units;

Radian:

It is the unit of plane angle. it is define as :

Plane angle will be one radian when arc travelled by the body is equal to the radius of circle .

Other units are degree or revolution i.e.,

1 rev =360 deg=2π radian

Relation b/w linear and angular displacement  is given below

Steradian:

It is the unit of solid angle (3 dimension angle).

The angle sup tented at the center of sphere equal to square of the radius of that sphere

Those physical quantities in term of which other physical quantities are defined are called base quantities .
