Supplementary
units;
International conference could not decide about two
geometrical quantities whether they are base or derived following are the supplementary
units;
Radian:
It is the unit of plane angle. it is define as :
Plane angle will be one radian when arc travelled by the
body is equal to the radius of circle .
Other units are degree or revolution i.e.,
1 rev =360 deg=2Ï€ radian
Relation b/w linear and angular displacement is given below
S=r

Steradian:
It is the unit of solid angle (3 dimension angle).
The angle sup tented at the center of sphere equal to
square of the radius of that sphere
